THE STORY

In the early morning hours of November 4,  2007,  

James N. Crutcher, Jr. was awakened by uncontrollable tears and as he sat on the side of the bed, a voice asked, “Do you know why things like the droughts, fires, poverty, wars, and so on are happening?” 

Unable to speak, he just sat and listened. 

Then he was told, “The reason is that my people have forgotten how to pray to me.” 

Then he was charged, “James, I want you to come up with a way to get my people to humble themselves when they pray.” 

On November 6, 2007, James Crutcher developed the concept
and prototype of the Prayer Mat.
